At Flechazo you are bound to fall in love at the first sight. Located in Marathalli, Bangalore this buffet only restaurant serving Mediterranean and Asian food. The ambiance is clean with most of the work in blue, white and yellow taking you straight to the Mediterranean. The place is huge and you can even host large parties in a separated area.
The buffet here is unique as you get to try Mediterranean as well as Pan-Asian dishes. The buffet consists of many sections like the Food Shots, Pizza/Pasta Live Counter, Nitrogen Ice-cream Counter, Desserts, soup and breads counter, Main course area apart from the fact that the starters are served on your table. The buffet also comes with a complimentary mocktail.
We kicked off the buffet by ordering the Nitro Batida and the Juicy Scandal. The Nitro Batida is made from Fresh Lychee and Passion Fruit juice and is blended with ice-cream. After serving this drink liquid nitrogen is poured over it to instantly freeze it. It a delight watching the whole thing happen. A Juicy Scandal on the other hand was made with Paan syrup along with sour mix wood smoked with licorice.
For the starters, you can try nearly 8-10 different starters like the Pita Bread with Hummus, Crispy Corn, Paneer Tikka, Veg Quesadillas, and other Indian as well as Mediterranean appetizers. The starters here are delicious. The Food Shots counter is another counter for appetizers as you can try pani puri as well as sushi along with different chaats. The best thing about this counter is the fact that it works on a conveyor belt which keeps on moving with food.
One of the things you can look forward too is the Pizza and Pasta Counters. And what is even more exciting was the fact that you can create on your own. So, I put my Chef hat on and created a mixed veggies Pizza. Same goes with the Pasta counter. There is a small gas oven where the Pizza is baked. At the end you get a certificate of authenticity to show off your MasterChef skills!!
The main course was also interesting as we tried the Avadhi Veg Biryani and the Veg Haleem. Well the Awadhi Biryani was spicy and had chunks of cauliflower along with other veggies. The Veg Haleem was nothing less than delicious as it had a creamy texture. There are other Indian curries as well that you can try with breads. You will also find few dishes from the Chinese cuisine.
Next we tried the Live Icecream counter where you can choose from a variety of different options. I tried the Kala Khata with Salt. The mix are put in a bowl and then liquid nitrogen is poured over it which instantly freezes the mix giving you a creamy and smooth icecream. There are a lot of other options like Coffee, Caramel, Bubblegum, Paan and so on.
The Desserts counters are filled with European and Indian desserts. We tried the Moong Dal Halwa, Jalebi with Rabri, Chocolate Brownie, cut fruits, Macaroons, Gulab Jamun and so on. Loved the Jalebi here and the Macaroons!
At Flechazo there is so much to explore. Every counter gives you a different experience and the whole culinary journey is mesmerizing. The staff member are to be appreciated for their prompt service and positive attitude.
