This optical engineering piece utilizes a five element lens to correct the optical distortion which most other loupes give. The 6x magnification gives a clear 40mm view that can be extended to 50mm by the additional rubber eyepiece. The lens system is house in an aluminum chassis that is covered by a silicon housing that is comfortable to use for longer periods of time.
