The rumor stated that Louis Vuitton was celebrating its 200th anniversary by releasing 10,000 NFTs in collaboration with Yayoi Kusama. It would be their second collaboration, but this is absolutely false.

Louis Vuitton’s move into the NFT area is part of a larger trend among top luxury brands to look into the possibilities of this new platform. From Gucci to Prada, high-end companies are using NFTs to reach new customers and give their current ones unique, one-of-a-kind experiences.

On their anniversary, there is also a rumor that Louis Vuitton will allow customers to purchase and convert NFTs into physical items.

Hadrein Huet also reported seeing a fake NFT collection under the name of Louis Vuitton on the OpenSea platform.
