This is the Louis chair I mentioned that I got the other day for $30. It needs a makeover, and although I’ve decided that the chair is definitely a girl, I think she’s a tomboy at heart. Or at least I decided she should be after I saw what she could look like in gloss black paint and a modern print.

I really like the black frame and chevron print fabric, but I didn’t want to go all black and white. In fact I love a blue and black combo, or even a navy and black combo (that’s actually my favorite fashion combo believe it or not).
Then on eBay last night I came across five and a half yards of this for about $11 per yard. It’s a Duralee fabric called Suburban Chevrama in Bluebell, and is also available here for $18.98 per yard. The variations of blue will complement a black frame nicely. I think I mentioned that I’m going to tackle the reupholstery myself. I have a few more projects to finish before I can get started, but I’m up for the challenge!
XO,
Heather
P.S., If you’re thinking clash-central with our orange living room rug, never fear… I’m making some changes in the living room that will surely compliment Louis!
