Lot 13 Review

By Appraisingpages @appraisjngpages

Lot 13 was a miniseries published by DC Comics beginning last October and was the perfect Halloween treat for me. The plot revolves around a lovely family of five who are moving from their apartment to a home a few hours away. After arriving at their new home and finding out they cannot move in as they planned because it is being fumigated they stop for the night in an old hotel where they each get their own room as a special treat from the father, Ron. Shortly after they check-in they soon realize the hotel is haunted by evil spirits and ghosts who are only there to harm the family.

Lot 13 is an exciting change from the more typical superhero comic books. The art and story are creative and scary. Its the perfect use of horror for the medium. Really capitalizing on the fact that you get to see everything you read. If you are looking for a good ghost story this Halloween season you have got to find this graphic novel and treat your self. Turn down the lights and be prepared for a terrifying journey that has tons of twists and turns. This one is sure to keep you turning pages late into the night.

The graphic novel may be a bit hard to track down as I couldn’t find it available on but you should be able to find it with some good ole fashioned digging at your local comic book  shop! I also found it here! Have fun and enjoy this lesser known Halloween treat!
