LOST ONES.
"Lost Ones" is hands down my favorite song on J.Cole's album. He shares an emotional story of an unplanned pregnancy and he does a great job of discussing how both parties feel in this unfortunate situation. There are many decisions that must be made the moment a woman finds out she is pregnant and in this case abortion was the option that he preferred. It's a sad situation but I love the fact that he wrote a song about this because it's a situation that both males and females are forced with everyday.
Verse 2 (female perspective)
"She said n*gga you got the nerve
To come up to me talkin’ bout abortion
This my body n*gga so don’t think you finna force sh*t
See I knew that this is how you act, so typical
Said you love me, oh, but now you flipping like reciprocals
It figures though, should’ve known that you was just another n*gga
No different from them other n*ggas
Who be claiming that they love you just to get up in them draws
Knowing all the right things to say
I let you hit it raw m*thaf*cker
Now I’m pregnant you don’t wanna get involved m*thaf*cker
Tryna take away a life, is you God m*thaf*cker?
I don’t think so
This a new life up in my stomach
Regardless if I’m your wife
This new life here I’mma love it
I ain't budging, I’ll do this by my m*thaf*cking self
See my momma raised me without no m*thaf*cking help from a man
But I still don’t understand how you could say that
Did you forget all those conversations that we had way back
Bout your father and you told me that you hate that n*gga
Talkin’ bout he a coward and you so glad that you aint that n*gga
Cause he left your mamma when she had you and he ain't sh*t
And here you go doin’ the same sh*t
You ain't shit n*gga!"
(clearly this is my favorite part LOL!)

I love how honest and raw J.Cole is in this song. If you are going through this or have been through this I would like to know how you felt the 1st time you heard this song. If you haven't heard it yet you can watch the video here:
