Verdict on Lost Girls and Love Hotels
Lost Girls and Love Hotels is a thriller following an American woman trying to get to grips with life in Japan. She struggles to connect to too many people until she meets a dashing Yakuza gangster. however, he life becomes more dangerous as she is drawn into a sexual underworld of the city.
This dives into the difficulties of adapting to a new life away from home. It shows the draw of something outside of the normal and how easily people can get trapped in a world they dislike. Sadly, it doesn’t seem to do that much to stand out and we have seen things similar and more interestingly done before. Despite Alexandra Daddario’s attempts to make a big impact.
