Looking Glass by Cameron Jace

By Pamelascott

The fate of Alice Wonder, Jack Diamonds, Fabiola, Cheshire, Lewis Carroll, the March Hare, and Constance will be revealed - and of course Professor Carter Chrysalis Cocoon Pillar's mysterious intentions.

Amidst the chaos of the Wonderland War, Alice protects the March's secret, hoping she didn't kill everyone on the school bus - again! The Pillar has one last trick under his sleeve while the Cheshire is determined to kill him. On the other hand, Mr. Jay's true identity is revealed.

In a final worldwide battle, the Wonderland War will come to an end - or a beginning?

But why are children all over the world reading Lewis Carroll's books in unison? Where the heck did the mushrooms come from? Are Fabiola, Constance, Jack, and Lewis still alive? Who is Mr. Jay? Why is everyone talking about the Mad Hatter? Where has he been all this time? And most important of all is Alice just a mad girl in her asylum cell imagining all of this?

Looking Glass Cameron Jace

I enjoyed Looking Glass a lot more than the last couple of books in the series. This is a fitting end to a series that I still feel ran for too long. I started to fall for the series again and remember how brilliant I thought the first book was. I will likely re-read the books in succession to get the whole story and may change my mind about the series going on for too long. Looking Glass moves between past and present and different version of Wonderland and what counts as the 'real world'. It took a few chapters to get the flow of the sequence of events. There's less chaos than the last couple of book and Looking Glass is all the better for it. The series and events that lead up to it aren't neatly tied in a bow but I don't mind that.
