Happy 2019 Beautiful Friends and welcome to those of you who have just joined in! I'm always excited to start the New Year with fresh intentions and goals, but it's wonderful to look back at the past year and reflect on all that has happened. It's a wonderful way to start the year thankful.
Today, I'm doing something a little different than my past recaps of the year and sharing the top FIVE posts that Y'ALL loved on Style of Sam. I went through my Google Analytics and was surprised and not surprised at some of the results! Based on your favorites, I thought about renaming my blog to "Beauty and the Bags"! LOL!
BAGS, BAGS, BAGS!!! Yes, I have bags under my eyes but, I'm talking about the bags in my closet. The "What's in My Bag" Series are the most visited posts on the site with the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM review coming in first! The series started when I was researching the Mansur Gavriel bucket bag and has grown from there. I have more posts plus a "How to Care for Your Designer Bags" coming up. I'm thinking about adding some quick video too! As always, let me know if you have any specific questions or want to see a particular bag!Fall is my favorite season, and CABI is one of my fave brands so it's no wonder that the CABI Fall 2018 Collection Review was another top blog post. In addition to being a company that designs beautiful and wearable clothes, they are also a brand that believes in people ( read here about their mission) and empower women. It's a win-win for everyone involved and I'm so proud to call myself a #CABIgirl!
When the New Year comes, we are all looking for ways to improve and organize our life! Surprisingly, this OLD but quick Erin Condren lifeplanner review blog post is still one of my most visited blog posts. Guess what, I literally use that planner every day! (I haven't ordered my 2019 planner yet! OOPS!) I probably don't utilize it to its full potential with all of the amazing sticker options that come in the planner, but it starts my day off on such a GOOD note! I have a trip planned to visit the Erin Condren store in Austin later this month, and I cannot WAIT!! It's going to be the mecca of organization!!!!
Side note: One of my best friends shared "A Busy Catholic Women's Daily Planning Routine" and it has been a LIFE CHANGER! She's not Catholic but felt that it was so useful and I'm BEYOND grateful that she shared it. This guide tells you exactly HOW to plan your day AND pray. Those sound like such simple concepts, but I guess I never really knew how until I read it!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dressing Room Diaries are one of my favorite posts to put together, and I'm so glad that Y'all like it too! It's one of the few times that I truly go crazy and buy A LOT at a sale but it's been awesome to stock up on wardrobe staples (like daily sweaters that I wear with the kids, jeans, shoes) and winter jackets and shoes for the Littles. Plus, I give honest reviews. I normally only like to post positive things on the blog, but try-on sessions are just that so you need to know the goods and bads right?!I was SO HAPPY to see the Clean Beauty Dupes to Replace Y0ur Cult Faves post on the top list! That was a passion post, and I have more clean beauty posts and videos this lined up for this year! It's been great now that clean beauty is more widely recognized so more and more retailers are selling it! Even more exciting to me is that I can visit certain stores and actually "touch and feel" these items instead of ordering online and hoping for the best (which is what I've had to do for years)!
Alrighty Friends, this was a quick one, but I hope you enjoyed this 2018 Top Post recap! I'm going to leave you with my word for the 2019 year which is SIMPLIFY. Yes, it's a repeat of last year's word, but that it embodies everything that I'm looking to do this year in life, prayer, family, home, and even the blog. Cheers to 2019 Friends! LOVE Y'all!
What are your New Year Goals, Word(s), or Intentions for this year?Thank you so much for stopping by and supporting SOS! I truly appreciate it!
