Looking Back at SLC2012!

Spiritual Leadership Conference wrapped up yesterday! God gave us a truly incredible week with friends from all over the country. If you were not able to attend the conference, please know that we will post the entire conference for free download at www.strivingtogether.com in the next few days. Every session, message, video, and outline will be available at no charge! Please use this vast resource. Pass it along. Share it, tweet it, and let others know. That link will also help you know more about the new publications resources we introduced this week!

As I reflect on this week, I’m grateful to God for what I experienced! Here are some things that blessed my life:

1. The great spirit of fellowship and encouragement—I love the spirit, the unity, and the friendship that this conference provides. It was a little bit of Heaven to fellowship with friends and to reconnect with godly servants from all over the country. There’s something powerful and special about the fellowship we share in Christ and in the ministry. It was also a blessing to meet so many first time guests this year!

2. The convicting Bible messages—we heard from fantastic Bible preaching this week. Every preacher was greatly used of God in my life. The focus was uplifting, the spotlight was on Christ and His Word, and the content was thoroughly scriptural. Be sure to listen or view the messages online!

3. The fantastic worship and exaltation of Christ—with much thanks to Jon Guy and the LBC music ministry, this was a special week of music and worship. The choir, the ensembles, the orchestra, the soloists, and the congregational singing was all so touched by God. This incredible team of people worked hard to pull it all together for God’s glory!

4. The servant’s heart and amazing work of the LBC staff and church family—seeing our staff and church family give themselves in such sacrificial and amazing ways was a huge blessing. I stand amazed at the way God has gifted, grown, and used these incredible people. It’s just awesome to see His hand at work in and through them. I deeply cherish the joy of sharing in their labor.

Stay tuned to a post in the coming days with links to the conference downloads. If you weren’t able to be a part of this year’s conference, this is a great time to plan to be a part next year! You won’t regret it!
