I recently went for the SM Town Kpop Music Concert (blog post coming up soon!) and was so inspired by their trendy looks, I was itching for a new look. So I started with my hair…
What will my hair turn out to be?
My hair guru and I were inspired by the peacock, so we decided on a hue or purple, blue and turquoise for the hair colour.

I had to bleach my hair until it was light enough to get the spunky new colours on. Halfway through the transformation, I got hungry and happily trotted down to &MADE (blog post coming up!) for teatime while waiting for the hair to be done. Naturally, I got a lot of stares at the bistro…the hair salon said I had a lot of guts stepping out looking like this. I thought it was kinda cool actually, heh. Teatime set (S$14, 3-6pm) consisted of a dark chocolate sundae, quiche, caramel latte and my fave – a warm chocolate chip cookie. I think it’s a pretty good price for a downtown teatime set.
Went back to the hair salon for Part 2 after teatime. I think I look like an alien…Princess Leia or Predator?
My first fully bleached hair.
Tah dah! After SEVEN hours, my hair colour is finally done! This is Ritz, my hair guru and friend. He’s also the only person I’ll trust with such hair transformation.
Me with chum Darren. His first reaction upon seeing my hair colour?
This – Monster!
We thought the colour reminded us of Sully in Monsters Inc LOL.We couldn’t find Sully in the toy store to take a photo with…I think it will be a riot! The hair colour definitely needs some getting used to, but I am loving it so far. Afterall, life is short and we only live once, so why not give everything a try?
