Look Fantastic Beauty Box - January #LFBeautyBox

Hello Freckles Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review My thoughts on Look Fantastic's January Beauty Box. It's a good 'un!
I've tried a range of beauty boxes in the past. Sometimes I've been really impressed and sometimes I've been left disappointed, thinking I could've spent that money on something better. Now I don't really subscribe to any, though I did pick up the Harvey Nichols Glossybox just before Christmas and I'm so impressed with that one (though it's a bit pricey so I wouldn't want to buy special editions on a monthly basis). Let me know if you'd like me to share my thoughts on that, even if it's a little after Christmas now. I could easy whip up a post!

Today I'm chatting about Look Fantastic's beauty box. It's £15 and you can opt for free postage, so it's already one of the lower price brackets in the beauty box market. I actually got this for £12 since I snapped it up when they were offering 20% off all purchases and I'm really happy I did.

20 of the boxes include the ghd eclipse styler, worth £145. I didn't get one of those lucky 20, but I'm still really pleased with the products inside and so far I've tried out half of them.

I got the Molton Brown Shower Gel in Templetree which is a mix of jasmine, rose and sandalwood. It smells really lovely and the 100ml bottle is a good size to give it a good go. Would I buy it? I'm not sure, as £18 (for 300ml) is a bit steep to spend on a shower gel and I love Wild Argan Oil from The Body Shop that's a bargain in comparison at £4!

I've been wanting to try Philip Kingsley products for ages now. I actually won one of Look Magazine's 12 days of Christmas competitions and I'm awaiting a Philip Kingsley set arriving in the post. This Daily Damage Defence spray smells seriously good and my hair does feel really soft and shiny after using it. I do use more heat than I should on my hair, so products like this one will be seriously well used.

Finally, the third product I've tried so far is the star of the box, Nuxe Soothing and Hydrating Fresh Mask, which retails for £18.50, so even if you bought the box just for this, you'd be getting a great deal. This mask leaves my skin so soft and you can choose whether you want to leave it on overnight, massaging in any excess product, or remove it with toner. I've opted for leaving it overnight to really work its magic in combination with Nuxe Reve de Miel.

I'm yet to try the other products; Gatineau Collagen Eye Compresses, myvitamins dissolving tablets and the Goldwell 60 Second Treatment, though the latter looks a lovely shade of pink so that does look appealing already. I'll report back when I've given them a go.

I'm glad it's not a subscription, I'd rather not be tied to buying every one for 6 months/1 year. For £15, it's a great treat to get you through January and if you're considering it, I'd suggest you go for it. Imagine if you get the ghd eclipse styler - for £15!

What's your thoughts on beauty boxes, subscription or non-subscription? Have you picked up any of Look Fantastic's beauty boxes? Would you be tempted to in the future?
