With the launch of The Rolling Stones Walk on the 5th May 2016 and the return of the Rock'n'Roll London Pub walk on Wednesday nights from the 4th May 2016 the London Walks summer programme 2016 will feature no less than FIVE regular musical-themed walking tours.
To mark the occasion, April is Music Month on The Daily Constitutional!
A month of plaques, locations, facts, reviews and more lies ahead. And I'm compiling the Ultimate London Playlist – get in touch with your favorite London song or piece!

Prime Minister David Cameron – Dodgy Dave as he was called in parliament by MP Dennis Skinner the other day – has a lot on his plate at the moment. That doesn't mean to say I'm going to let him off the hook about another pressing musical matter:
Where the bloody hell is Ray Davies’s knighthood? Come on Cameron, GET IT SORTED!

Dedicated Follower of Fashion is 60s pop music as journalism – writer Ray Davies is sitting on the outside of the in-crowd and taking a look at the absurdity of it all. The perennial Eeyore of rock'n'roll is on fine witty form here, weaving a Bayeaux tapestry of fops and dandies prancing along Carnaby Streets. Great delivery, too – pay particular attention to the line where he pulls his frilly nylon panties right up tight. Pure music hall.
A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
