London Walks guide Andy Hallett (that's him in the pic) is running a half marathon for a great charity. Can you help him out? Here he is…
Hello All
I am fundraising for a great charity called Young
Epilepsy by running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday October
6th.
Young Epilepsy is the national charity working
exclusively on behalf of children and young people with epilepsy. With over 100
years expertise they provide world class diagnosis, assessment and
rehabilitation for children and young people with epilepsy.
They
also provide support and information for parents, children and young
people and training for professionals. They campaign for better access to,
and quality of, health and education services and offer tailor-made training
across the country for parents, teenagers and health, social care and education
professionals and also work in schools.
They also
have a specialist school and college, providing day, residential and short
break services, up to the age of 25, offering education and healthcare for
children and young people with epilepsy, autism and other neurological
conditions.
It’s a
fantastic charity and one I am particularly interested in and proud to fund
raise for as my Dad suffers from Epilepsy, which was particularly tricky when
he was a very young boy. Also they obviously don't get much, I've never heard a
charity so grateful to get a phone call. They could do with some support.
Please help me make a difference by making a
donation to my Virgin Money Giving page.
To find out more about the charity go to www.virginmoneygiving.com/AndrewHallett
where you can also sponsor me online.
Don't forget to tick the box to reclaim Gift Aid
on your donation if you're a UK tax payer. Virgin Money Giving will pass this
on in full to charity, making your donation go even further.
Thanks for all your support,
Much love
Andy Hallett x
Good luck Andy!
