Welcome to our London Christmas Shopping Guide 2015.
Over the next few weeks we'll be pointing you in the direction of our favorite shops and shopping neighbourhoods near the meeting and ending points of our London Walks …
No.24. St Bride's Church
Daily Constitutional Associate Editor Kim writes… City churches. So many of them and they all offer something different.
Pick up stationery, a guidebook to the church you are visiting or find ideas for others to see or even a best seller at a discounted second-hand price.
Favourite of the moment is St Bride's, Fleet Street.
You can take in one of their many carol services, sing your heart out and then purchase a wooden jigsaw of the church's spire. Beautifully made with the odd individual shaped piece to fit into (cross and chalice are obvious though I'm not sure where the rabbit fits in) and the perfect post-Christmas lunch family activity.
Spire has recently been cleaned and restored so don't forget to give it an admiring glance when you leave and return sometime soon as the next stage for improvement is the crypt museum for which there are exciting plans afoot.
Visit after Secret London, Tuesday 10.45am starting at Chancery Lane and ending right on the church's doorstep.
