Connects: Pimlico (North) with Vauxhall (South)

History: This “new” bridge replaces a bridge which stood from 1816.
Famous Friends: Vauxhall Bridge will appear in the forthcoming James Bond film Skyfall. The film premieres in London on the 23rd October.


Did You Know…?: The bridge is adorned with eight bronze statues – visible not from the bridge but from the river and riverbank. Upstream we have Frederick Pomeroy's representations of Agriculture, Architecture, Engineering and Pottery. Downstream Alfred Drury gives us Science, Fine Arts, Local Government and Education. Each statue weighs two tons.
