A Lockheed T-33A Shooting Star on display at the Jackson Barracks in New Orleans. The T-33 was operated by the Louisiana ANG from 1956-59 and 1979-85 by the 159th Fighter Wing, three were used as target aircraft for the Wing’s F-4 Phantoms. This classic jet warbird first flew in 1948 and over 6500 were produced by Lockheed and Canadair (CT-133) in Canada.  The last operator of the T-33, the Bolivian Air Force, retired the type in July 2017, after 44 years of service.
