Greg Colyer performs a photo pass in his T-33 “Ace Maker II” at the 2017 LA County Airshow. Greg now has a fleet of T-33s to cover his airshow appearances across the country (and now in Australia too). This classic jet warbird first flew in 1948 and over 6500 were produced by Lockheed and Canadair (CT-133) in Canada. Greg founded The T-33 Heritage Foundation, dedicated to obtaining, restoring, preserving, and maintaining Lockheed’s P-80, F-80, TF-80c, T-33 Shooting Star and America’s other Korean War era aircraft. The last operator of the T-33, the Bolivian Air Force, retired the type in July 2017, after 44 years of service.
