“Ruff Stuff” lands after a flight performance at Oshkosh Airventure.  This P-38 wears the markings of “Ruff Stuff”, flown by Lt. Norbert Ruff of the 8th Fighter Group, 80th Fighter Squadron.  This airframe was actually delivered as a F-5G reconnaissance version, receiving this fighter nose during a 1995 restoration.  First flown in 1939, more than 10,000 Lightnings were produced, with ten currently airworthy examples.
