We went to the annual Fly-In and it wasn’t hard to pick out the Hercules from the smaller general aviation aircraft. It was early enough that there were none of the usual long lines to see the cockpit. This one serves with the 130th Rescue Squadron (California Air National Guard) stationed at Moffett Federal Airfield, CA. The Combat Shadow version of the C-130 flies low-level air refueling missions for special operations helicopters an emphasis on night operations.
