This year’s San Francisco Fleet Week airshow featured this F-35 that flew in from Hill AFB in Utah. This image shows quite a few conformal bulges, two being part of the internal weapons bays. First flown in 2006, after years of delays and cost overruns, the U.S. Air Force declared the F-35A combat ready on 2 August 2016. This aircraft, AF-78, was delivered in August 2015 with a forecast total of 2,663 for the US military. Nikon D500 w/Tamron 150-600mm.
