Not one, but two F-35’s were on hand for this year’s California Capital Airshow. First flown in 2006, after years of delays and cost overruns, on 2 August 2016 the U.S. Air Force declared the F-35A combat ready. This aircraft is the 56th to be produced with a forecast total of 1,763 for the US Air Force. Nikon D7100 w/18-200mm, processed with Aperture.
