Taken during the Planes of Fame Airshow, Viper Demo pilot USAF Maj. John “Rain” Waters take his F-16 down the flightline for a high speed pass, pulling some vapor out of the SoCal air. This aircraft is assigned to the F-16 Air Combat Command F-16 Viper Demonstration Team (55th FS) based at Shaw AFB, S.C. For who may be curious about the designation, F-16CM covers aircraft previously known as F-16C Block 50, which really would’ve been designated F-16J. First flown in 1974, more than 4,600 Fighting Falcons have been produced and serve in the USAF along with 25 other nations.
