Taken during the Planes of Fame Airshow, Viper Demo pilot USAF Maj. John “Rain” Waters take his F-16 down the flightline for a high speed pass, pulling some vapor out of the SoCal air.  This aircraft is assigned to the F-16 Air Combat Command F-16 Viper Demonstration Team (55th FS) based at Shaw AFB, S.C.  For who may be curious about the designation, F-16CM covers aircraft previously known as F-16C Block 50, which really would’ve been designated F-16J.  First flown in 1974, more than 4,600 Fighting Falcons have been produced and serve in the USAF along with 25 other nations.  As of 2015, it is the world’s most numerous fixed-wing aircraft in military service.  Nikon D500 w/Tamron 150-600mm.
