@ Museo del Aire, Madrid , Spain
May 2014
This was my first trip to Spain and the Museo del Aire. This facility has six exhibition galleries and over 150 aircraft on display. 18 Canadair-built F-104Gs and three Lockheed-built TF-104Gs were delivered under to Spain’s Ejército del Aire in 1965. Spain was one of the few foreign operators of the aircraft with a perfect safety record. In 1972 these aircraft were replaced by McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantoms.
