One of my greatest discoveries towards the latter half of 2016 was that I was quite happy with my wardrobe, thank you very much. I lamented missing sharing outfits in a previous post and realised that was mostly because I rarely splurge all of my money on clothing hauls of throwaway fashion these days and in fact I’m just enjoying my non-capsule wardrobe.
There’s such great winter comfort in a turtleneck jumper, and that’s exactly why I added the Penny knit to the Honey + Chai winter collection. It has these awesome blouson sleeves that pinch in at the wrist and look so Seventies’ chic. Obsessed. I’ve been wearing it with these lighter wash Zara jeans and those really-painful-but-still-cute ASOS loafers and about twenty scarves for everyday looks lately and I even had somebody at the Post Office compliment me on my outfit! At the Post Office! Land of moody, queuing Brits!!
I’ll take that, I think. Thanks Post Office clan.

Loafin’ around
3.1.17 And so here we are: the First Day Back in 2017. It’s not quite so bad, I suppose. I’ve a fresh cup of coffee to my right and a sizeably-filled out diary on the left, my puppy running riot by my feet and a satisfying Inbox (0). Start as you mean to go on, Michelle. I feel content about starting a new year but not in that ‘omgZ new me!’ manner, it’s more in a ‘I feel settled and my head and heart is happy’ manner. Having said that, I mean, I probably did spend the first day of the year being a bit basic by purchasing a shiny new DSLR to replace my very-broken-one AND booking myself in to a Barre Concept class in my hometown. (So excited. Give me tips if you will!)One of my greatest discoveries towards the latter half of 2016 was that I was quite happy with my wardrobe, thank you very much.
