Liz Earle Suncream SPF20 £19.25

I’ve expressed my love for Liz Earle before. I’m a diehard fan of their Cleanse and Polish and I’m forever gushing about their mini travel essentials but you’ve guessed it, I’ve found a new product to pack in my case. The lovely team at Liz Earle kindly sent me a few sun protection goodies along with their well wishes for a safe trip to Vegas and I have to say I’m delighted with them. When it comes to sun cream, I’ve tried them all. Lancaster, Clinique and Dior and I’ve always slathered them on with vigour, eagerly awaiting the beautiful tan that is promised on the bottle. After trying out these designer sun ranges, I’ve always ended going back to my old faithful Piz Buin lotions, deflated, disappointed and downright miffed about spending so much on a name. However, the Liz Earle sun cream range has well and truly tickled my fancy.

I was fairly hesitant about baring all in the 32 degree heat in Las Vegas. I’m fair skinned and I fully expected to be the color of a beetroot in approximately 7.5 seconds. I put on my Liz Earle Mineral sun lotion in the hotel room and went out to put it to the test on a rooftop pool. Containing pomegranate, green tea, natural vitamin E and a drop of Shea Butter your skin can’t help but glow.

Now, a word of warning, this lotion is thick, almost cement-like in color and as I slathered in on, I have to say I had my doubts initially. I am the Queen of faffing around and a suncream that takes more than five minutes to rub in is not going to make me any more productive but as the week went on I discovered that the less is more approach worked the best and pretty soon I had the application down to a fine art. It was only by the end of the day when I realised that for once I had no blotches, no blisters and no burnt bits that I had discovered desert proof suncream that even works on those of us who aren’t blessed with Olive skin. Success! The lotion is designed to reflect rays offering the ultimate sun protection. Hooray for Liz Earle and their fabulous sun range.

Definitely one to add to your list of desert island beauty products. Have you tried the Liz Earle sun cream range? Will it be in your suitcase this summer? x
