Kim K wasn’t lying when she said being blonde is a full time job. As a result, I’m always on the look out for products that promise to make my blonde hair brighter, bigger and bouncier. If I had a blog category called things I didn’t really need but really wanted, Living Proof would fall right into it. I bought the instant texture mist and the targeted repair cream on a impulse a few weeks ago and I love everything about them from the signature rubbery packaging to the fuss free branding. Did I mention that Jennifer Aniston is the brains behind the brand (the products are actually developed by world-class bio-tech scientists but Jen is a co-owner). Read on to discover my thoughts on Living Proof and what it takes to achieve a good hair day.

As a die hard Jennifer Aniston fan, I was prepared to love these new lotions and potions before I even used them and they didn’t disappoint. I tend to wash my hair every other day and rarely bother with anything other than a simple shampoo, conditioner and a spritz of leave in conditioner on the ends. However, after I’ve had my hair coloured, I like to indulge in intensive products that will undo some of the damage that comes with regularly bleaching. Hello lovely targeted repair cream or what I like to call damage control! Inside this little purple bottle is a strand healing, split end mending, cuticle smoothing lotion that promises to care for dry and damaged hair. You can use this little gem on wet or dry hair but I always use it on towel dried hair before I blow dry it. The best bit? A little really does go a long way meaning it will last for months rather then weeks.
In my opinion, there is a time and a place for the mist. Jennifer Anniston apparently uses this to create bombshell texture as well as beautiful beachy waves.
The instant texture mist isn’t something I use daily but it’s great when you need a little extra volume on a night out. If I ever curl my hair, I’ll spritz this on to the root for a little extra bounce. Mostly I use it when I’m trying to achieve beachy waves as my hair needs a lot of help to achieve even a subtle curl. Or I’ll use it on straight hair if it’s feeling a little flat.
I wouldn’t say I’ve quite mastered Jennifer Aniston’s effortlessly beautiful locks but I’ll settle for softer hair that’s easier to style. What do you think of the Living Proof range? Let me know in the comments!
