So, there's a Presidential election happening - next November. Politicians on both sides have been playing with the public for over a year now, keeping is guessing about whether or not they're going to run. The Republicans (ie. not Obama's party) currently have SEVENTEEN people vying to get their party's nomination. You can imagine the chatter. There was a debate with the top-polling ones last night and it was more like a speed dating show than any type of discussion.
And who do we have leading the Republican pack?
Donald Trump. Yes, THAT Donald Trump.
And he doesn't just look stupid. Oh now, he has stupid coming out of every orifice it would appear. On Arianna Huffington - She "is unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man - he made a good decision."On Bette Midler - "While Bette Midler is an extremely unattractive woman, I refuse to say that because I always insist on being politically correct". In last night's debate however, he had this to say about political correctness "I thinkthe big problem this country has is being politically correct. I've been challenged by so many people and I don't, frankly, have time for total political correctness. And to be honest with you, this country doesn't have time either. ". Hmmm. Anyway, there's more - About his daughter - I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her." Oh yes. He did. On Mexican immigrants - "I will build a great wall — and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me —and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words....... When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best. They're not sending you, they're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. ... And some, I assume, are good people."But he shares the hate around - “Laziness is a trait in the blacks. ... Black guys counting my money! I hate it.”And even when he likes them, he's rude - “The only kind of people I want counting my money are little short guys that wear yamakas every day.”And finally - “All the women on The Apprentice flirted with me — consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.”Dear God.
