Live Bartender Training #2

By Therealbarman @TheRealBarman

Here we go, let's do this, the sequel for the live bartender training is out. Actually it's been out for awhile on my YouTube Channel, but for those of you following the blog, it's on a time-delay. Apparently. (Translation: Gotta get my shit together).

If you're just coming here for the first time, and you're curious about what it's like to become a bartender, these live bartender trainings I put out give you a behind-the-scenes look of what it's like to work as a bartender.

Inside these videos, I give you a few cocktail recipes, as well as a few tips, tricks and knowledge to help educate you on how to bartend and some of the less obvious things you need to know about.

For those of you who are new to the bartender trainings, the scene is my piano bar, so you'll hear the pianos playing in the background. It's rare that I jump behind the bar anymore, unless they need help, or if I'm using it for a training video, like the one you're about to watch.

You'll notice that none of the bartenders are perfect, so there could be some minor mistakes. Don't have a conniption and send letters to your congressman. They are simply trying to get drinks out to the guests and servers as quickly as possible.

Finally, I want to answer one question that seems to come up over and over again: "Why aren't you guys ringing up all the drinks you're making?"

The answer is, our bar does about 80% credit cards and 20% cash, so many of the people in the video have tabs going which is what we're doing when we go to the POS...adding drinks to their tabs.

In addition, the bartenders are making drinks for 4 - 5 servers and cocktail servers and all of their guests at the tables in the bar/restaurant. We are not ringing in any of those because they've already been rung in by the servers.

With that said, let's jump right in. If you haven't subscribed to my YouTube channel yet, you can do so right here. By subscribing and clicking on the little bell, you can assure that you won't miss any new videos and live bartender trainings coming out.
