What with stag do's, hen do's (due to his sister's wedding and others), Champneys and holiday, we haven't actually had a weekend at the flat together for ages! We went into town yesterday morning to buy a picnic hamper (officially old people) and to get lunch - we went to Cote Bistro for the first time since moving to Farnham, and were very impressed. After lunch we drove four miles down the road to Frensham, a place I used to go with my family as a child, to chill by the pond. We went to Little Pond (I have only been to Big Pond (!) previously) and set up our fishing chairs next to lots of families and dogs enjoying the sunshine. It was so nice to soak up the rays, paddle (there were people full on swimming in the pond!) and read our books.
Has anyone read this book? I just can't get into it...
Today, we have been lucky enough to get our paws on tickets to the Closing Ceremony Concert at Hyde Park! So we're just getting ready, and then we're off! My cousin has been working at the Cadbury Experience as part of her Event Management masters degree, so has said she can get us into that which sounds like lots of fun - I am more than a little bit of a chocoholic! Can't wait to see Bombay Bicycle Club, The Specials, New Order and Blur! Should be a fun day. Anyway, must dash, I need to figure out what to wear - obviously my first concern!
