On Friday night we left the hospital and the good news was that Little Miss A did not have a fracture anywhere in her arm. The bad news was she was in pain and could not move her arm at all. Even moving Little Miss A (and jostling her arm) caused her to cry in pain.
I managed to get her into her car seat and into bed at home. The next morning we tucked her arm into her shirt sleeve and carried on with our day, making sure Little Miss A had time to rest. The doctor recommended Tylenol for pain, so that’s what we gave her.
Little Miss A carried on with one arm – eating, holding her sippy cup, cuddling her baby dolls and singing songs. She even managed to bum shuffle across the floor with one arm tucked into her shirt.
By Monday evening she was sewing (her lacing craft) with one arm. I held the board while she threaded a shoelace through holes.
After a while I untucked her arm, she looked at it, complained about pain, and then started to sew with both arms.
Her arm was still stiff and sore, so after her bath she happily watched the Babies documentary on Netflix.
