Choreographer turned director Prabhu Deva has earned a good reputation for him as director in the Hindi film industry with back to back successes in the form of Wanted and Rowdy Rathore both remakes of Telugu films. The director is back again this Friday with another release and no prizes for guessing, it’s another remake. This time he is coming with Ramaiya Vastavaiya remake of Telugu blockbuster Nuvvu Vasthanante Nenu Vaddantana which interestingly was his directorial debut.

The problem now though is that this time the director doesn’t have a star in the film and is purely resting on his skill, ahem, remaking skill to get a success. Can he get a success this time starring debutant hero with a remake of his own film that actually was, again not surprisingly, a very “inspired” effort combining a couple of old Bollywood movies. Or will he learn a lesson that multiple remakes doesn’t account to success all the time. Let’s see how things unfold as the day progresses today.
