There is a big shift in the last decade, where Dodge Ram truck owners are pimping up their vehicles with all kinds of optimization parts, and one of those parts are the simple exhaust system. Yup, simple, even when you invest in a convoluted modernized new-fangled tubing system.
The exhaust is basically a way to remove the gasses from your engine's combustion in a focused, directional, and sound audited (muted) manner.
Essentially there are good and bad exhaust pipes; the difference is in the materials and of course joints. Here is a short list of the Best Exhaust for 6.7 Cummins from MVP and MBRP, which are the best budget ratio friendly exhaust pipes on the market today.

This exhaust system is made by MVP Auto Parts, which is a fairly well-known aftermarket parts manufacturer. This 4-inch dual pipe setup is mounted post-DPF and is claimed to offer the maximum diameter and fewer degree angles for a free-flow system. The reason behind this is to keep the exhaust gas temps as low as possible and at the same time, maintain an optimum flow of exhaust gasses to let the motor produce more horsepower and torque.
As for compatibility, this system is custom made for 2007-2009 Ram 2500/3500 Quad & Mega Cab models. Going into more specifics, it will fit extended and crew cab versions as well as long bed and short bed Rams.
This tail end option by Diamond Eye is basically a tailpipe replacement kit that has proved to be quite popular for those looking to improve the sound and bottom-end responsiveness of their Cummins 6.7. The kit only replaces the exhaust from the DPF back although there is no denying that it's well-priced. Also, what's worth noting is that this kit doesn't come with a muffler and for optimum performance you will need to replace it as well.
It's compatible with 6.7L Cummins diesel 2500/3500 (all cab and bed length) from 2007 and 2012 year models.

Diesel Exhaust Systems
It's time to replace your exhaust system, and you don't need to wait for the old one to wear away, you can replace it with a brand new maximum sounding system that beats out those aggressive engine decibels and shows off the 325 horsepower and 610 lb/ft of torque.
Remember, the Dodge Cummins 6.7L engine is the strongest stock engine there is, and once you start to pimp it up with optimized performance parts you end up getting Godzilla on wheels.
Removing your old system is easy, just make sure you either have ample and secure space to get under your truck, and it should not take you more than 15 minutes to remove the old stock exhaust system. This can be done casually and without any swearing, banging of heads, knuckles and the need to visit a nurse for comforting.

Once you remove the old exhaust, with or without the help of WD40, you can install the new system. Installing will take slightly longer, so expect a 20-minute installation, again, only if you are composed relaxed and ready to enjoy the end results.
In step form, this is how you will do it:
Removing the oldStep 1: Only change and exhaust system when the engine and the exhaust system are cool to touch. This not just for safety purposes, it's also due to metal expansion when removing and installing a new system.
Step 2: Take off the passenger side fender, this will give you access to the v band clamp on the turbo exhaust housing. This part connects to the downpipe.
Step 3: I always suggest you cut the downpipe before the cross member, you can do this with a standard hacksaw, then remove the downpipe.
Step 4: Loosen all the clamps along the exhaust system. Then remove the hangers that are attached to the vehicle frame.
Step 5: Cut off the factory spare tire heat guard at the tailpipe section of the exhaust. You do this because your aftermarket exhaust will be bigger than the original stock exhaust.
Installing the newStep 6: It's time to install the new exhaust. You start with the downpipe, you attach this to the factory v band that you removed in step 2
Step 7: Now you add the straight pieces of the exhaust pipe. Do this until you reach the expected muffler (which is not included in your kits mentioned above). Do not tighten the clamps until you have completed the entire pipe system installation.
Step 8: if you have a muffler, (which you won't have with the above systems) you slide the exhaust pipe inside it from either direction. When hanging a muffler, bring a friend, it helps, since this can be a two-person job. Also, have a pair of pliers handy nearby, sometimes this can be a toughie.
Step 9: Attach all the hangers you previously removed. Remember the WD40; you will need this for sliding the hanger through some of those tougher rubber bushing resistant buggers.
Step 10: Attach the passenger side fender you took off in step 2.
Checking your workStep 11: When the truck is settled, turn on the ignition and check for any weird sounds, this will let you know if you fixed the new exhaust system properly.
