In light of the recently commemorated World AIDS day, Ghgossip wants to look at some celebrities living with the disease.
#1. Criselda Kanada ( South Africa)
The TV personality has been living with the virus for close to two decades now and recently took to her social media handle to reveal that among all the years living with HIV this year has been the hardest for her.
#2. Joyce Dzidzor (Ghana)
The actress recently disclosed in an interview with DSTV's Africa Magic that she contracted the virus through a church member and has been living with the virus for 7 years. The actress further stated that despite all the stigma she is still just a "normal person".
#3. Adebisi Alimi (Nigeria)
The Nigerian admitted that upon his disclosure of his HIV status, he has lost a lot of Nollywood film roles but still life has to go on and indeed he is right.
#4. Hanks Anuku (Nigeria)
The famous Nollywood actor is also reported to be living with the virus but unlike the former he has still manager to do well for himself in the industry by landing a lot of top roles in films both in Nigeria and Ghana.
#5. Ray C (Tanzania)
The singer left a lot of her fans in shock when she took to her Twitter account to reveal that she was living with the virus. She later reveal her motive was to encourage people to be bold and go for a test as knowledge of it might help them to seek medication which will prolong their life.
