Lisa and Stephen’s Mere Wedding

With all the excitement around this wedding I couldn’t help but be drawn in. After the pre-wedding meeting at Lisa’s parent’s beautiful Cheshire home I enjoyed receiving updates via email and Facebook and started to build a good picture of their wedding day that would be held at The Mere Resort.

This wedding was made extra special as we had the pleasure of working with Evie and Jamie from Chapter Photography, the wedding dream team together once more! Evie and I arrived before the Bride who was having her hair perfected at a local salon so, her Dad made us a cup of tea and filled us in on all the exciting things that happened the evening before with their family and friends. But before we could get in to details the girls piled in through the front door and then the fun really did begin…

The Groom had some fun with his Best Man and new toy, his Audi S4 convertible. Plenty of Top Gear style footage to work with for their Feature film and hopefully it’ll have a film all of it’s own!

The ceremony was lovely, with plenty of personal touches and even a sing-a-long with all the guests to the Beatles track ‘All You Need Is Love’. The new Mr and Mrs Bishop made there way outside just as the sun appeared through the clouds and the guests lined up to throw their confetti just before Lisa and Stephen went for a quiet drive in their wedding car.

Then the fun really begins as I got to capture some lovely moments while they had their couple photos before moving on to group shots inside one of the rooms in Mere. Guests were then ushered in to the wedding breakfast room to enjoy their meal before being entertained by some very funny speeches. I even got a lump in my throat during the Best Man speech as he spoke about how much he loved Steve!

The evening reception was soon in full swing at Mere Golf and wedding guests piled in to the photobooth before sticking their comedy photos in to the couples guest book. Evie and Jamie had even managed to produce a gorgeous slideshow for the couple to enjoy and then show off to their guests. All this before the band had even started!
