“Star Wars Day,” Cryptoys has announced plans for 15 NFTs that look like cartoon versions of characters from the series.

Cryptoys, an NFT startup, has recently revealed its plans to launch digital collectibles based on the widely popular entertainment franchise, just in time for the annual “Star Wars Day” celebration on May 4, also known as “May the ‘Fourth’ be with you.”

The latest addition to Cryptoys’ pop culture “digital toys” is the Star Wars NFT collection, set to be released on May 24. This follows the company’s previous collaboration with toy brand Mattel for the Masters of the Universe collections. According to Cryptoys, the Star Wars NFTs will be priced at $39.99, similar to their previous collections.

The Cryptoys Star Wars NFTs will consist of fifteen limited edition “digital toys” of iconic characters from the series, such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Darth Vader. The NFTs are issued on the Flow blockchain, which hosts collectibles platforms such as NBA Top Shot and NFL All Day.

The NFTs will be presented in five distinct, playful skin designs and stored in digital “holocrons” inspired by Star Wars. They will be sold in packs of different rarity levels such as “Common,” “Rare,” “Legendary,” “Grail,” and “Ultra Grail.” Buyers won’t know which character they’ll receive until they open the “blind box.”

“We’ve all been Star Wars fans since we were kids, which is why it’s an absolute dream come true to bring Star Wars collectible digital toys to the Cryptoys platform,” Will Weinraub, CEO and co-founder of Cryptoys’ parent company OnChain Studios, said in a statement.

Star Wars NFT collectibles have been released before. The digital collectibles platform, VeVe, has recently unveiled a range of sets that showcase NFTs from a variety of Disney and Marvel properties. These sets include 3D digital models, digital posters, and comic book covers, among others.
