The Kawasaki Eliminator 500 has been officially launched in India at the beginning of the year. The arrival of the cruiser bike was basically to ace the Royal Enfield. Kawasaki has surprisingly unveiled the updated version of Eliminator 400, a slightly less powerful model. The bike will first be launched in Japan and then spread across the world. The new model has added some great features Let’s see what they are.

Kawasaki Eliminator Design, Specifications and Features

The Kawasaki Eliminator is similar to the predecessor model in terms of design. It comes in three variants – Standard, SE and Plaza edition. A fresh paint scheme has been added as a new update. While the base model is only available in Black color, the Plaza variant can be optioned in Pearl Sand Khaki and Pearl Storm Grey. On the other hand, the SE trim has appeared in a dual tone option. It can be chosen in Metallic Matte Dark Green with Metallic Flat Spark Black or Ebony with Phantom Blue.

New features on the SE and Plaza editions include a phone charging port and a GPS-enabled dual camera setup or dashcam (front-rear). The Kawasaki Eliminator SE has been given a new headlight cowl to add a new dimension to the design.

Powering the wheels of the Kawasaki Eliminator is a 398cc parallel twin cylinder engine. It will produce a maximum power of 48 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 37 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. Mating the motor is a 6-speed gearbox. It also has a slipper clutch.

In terms of hardware, the Kawasaki Eliminator is based on a trellis frame. It features telescopic front fork and dual rear spring. 310 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc brakes with ABS are provided to handle braking duties. This bike will run on 18 inch front and 16 inch rear wheels.
