Hello readers! As you may have noticed I have been completely absent from the blog, Twitter, and Instagram for a little while - and this is because my baby was born in mid-August and only now am I managing to take a few minutes to update things! (And I'll have to be quick as he has hiccups and will start crying soon I'm sure...)
There are a few books I read right at the end of my pregnancy that I am planning to review as soon as I can - no promises - which include Codename Suzette by Anne Nelson, and Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover. The latter garnered a lot of attention when it was first published and my copy was hanging about for months before I finally read it, so I'm keen to write about it. I also had my copy of Codename Suzette for several months before I picked it up, for some reason! It's a bit different from anything else I've read about World War II so I'm also keen to write about that... hopefully I will manage to squeeze in some reviewing in the next few weeks.
Perhaps unsurprisingly I haven't been able to read much since the baby came along, though I have made a start on both The Fourth Trimester by Kimberly Ann Johnson and Life with Picasso by Francoise Gilot - I'm reading them a paragraph or so at a time when I can! Hopefully I'll be able to get through them soon and write about them on here.
So there you go, just a little post to let you know I am still here and planning on getting back into the swing of things as soon as I can. Having a baby throws your life upside down! More soon...
