It's been an interesting (to say the least) couple of weeks around here, so I thought I'd check in and share what's been going on with me lately. About 3 weeks ago I got my second Covid shot - which absolutely took me out of commission for a few days afterwards. I am amazingly grateful to be vaccinated, and very much looking forward to hot girl summer (lol), but I definitely needed a few days to recover after getting my second dose. In case you were curious, after my first dose I had a mild fever the next night, chills, and was tired for the next couple of days. I experienced more of the same after my second dose, although it felt like I was tired for a little longer that time around. If you're on the fence - I say go ahead and get your shot.
As if that weren't enough, I got my wisdom tooth pulled not even a week after. Y'all - let's just say I really hope to be able to keep the rest of my wisdom teeth...please. All 4 of them are impacted - one isn't even breaking the skin yet - but the bottom left one had been bothering me recently and my dentist recommended I get it extracted. 10/10 do not recommend. By the end of the first week, I was STARVING, and by the end of the second week I developed a dry socket. My dentist put a medicated pack in the hole where my tooth was, and also cleaned and rinsed out the hole with more medication. It's feeling better for now, and hopefully I'll be on the mend sooner than later.
In between all of the above, I attended bachelorette festivities for a close friend who's wedding I'm in this month. We had a blast, but I can't hang like in my younger days lol. Any full day or night of partying will now require double the time to recuperate. I don't make the rules, it just is what it is lol.
I've also been busy picking up a few last minute things for my trip to Mexico at the end of this month. This bucket hat, this straw beach bag with the cutest pom pom tassels, this set of luggage tags (2 for under $10!), and this portable tripod are all in my Amazon cart waiting for me to check out. This month is also Sebastian's birthday - I can't believe he'll be 4! - so definitely a busy and exciting month up ahead! I can't wait to share it all with you guys.
