#LiesLiesLies by @adeleparks

After years together, the arrival of longed-for daughter Millie sealed everything in place. A happy little family of three.

And so what if Simon drinks a bit too much sometimes - Daisy's used to it, she knows he's letting off steam. Until one night at a party things spiral horribly out of control. And that happy little family of three will never be the same again.

I've not read anything by the author before but I'm familiar with her. I had the impression she wrote chick lit or romance so clearly I've been misinformed. I enjoyed this book so much I definitely plan to read more of her work. I loved the title. I'm not sure why but I can picture someone with a sneering face chanting it. I raced through this book, desperate to read the next clue, feel confused and scratch my head again. This is the kind of thriller I love, full of twists and turns, ups and downs and misdirection. I thought about a dozen things were going on and was mostly wrong. Love it! I knew something sinister lurked beneath the cheesy happy façade of Simon and Daisy's marriage. This book is jammed with secrets and I loved the way the author gradually reveals each one. I will read more by the author.
