Following the success of the As It Was documentary and a successful appearance on the Pyramid Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival and ahead of new album ‘Why Me? Why Not.’, Liam Gallagher has announced an extensive tour of the UK and Europe and shared the video for new single ‘The River’.
The song finds Liam in fine vocal form, especially when he says ‘I’ve been waiting for you down by the river’ while the guitar work sounds more ‘Revolver’-era Beatles than ever before. It ends with a psychedelic flourish before Liam demands ‘Lick your lips like a prize fighter, show me you can take a punch’.
