When LG G5 was launched in India, it came along with a some LG Friends. These are group of gadgets compatible with LG G5. One of these LG Friends is the 360 CAM which is capable of shooting 360 degrees videos.
LG 360 CAM is a 360-degree angle camera which has two 13MP 200-degree wide angle cameras. Together, these two cameras can produce a 360 degree photo or video. LG 360 CAM is a very light-weight and compact device, easy to carry even in a pocket. It is equipped with 1,200mAh battery and has 4GB internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD card. The LG 360 CAM is compatible with LG G5 and is capable of providing 2K video and 5.1 surround channel recording using its three microphones. The videos created on it can be directly uploaded to Google Street View and YouTube360 or viewed on LG 360 VR and other 360-degree content compatible devices.
The Contest
To promote the 360 CAM, LG has announced India's First 360 Degree Video/Photo Contest.
On the launch of this contest, Mr. Amit Gujral, Marketing Head, Mobiles, LG India, said "We are happy about the consumer response that LG G5 has received in India. With LG G5, we have set a new benchmark in the industry thru' its industry first modular design. The LG 360 CAM, companion device of G5, which can record 360 degree videos and 360 photos, has to be experienced to believe its potential. As promised, during the G5 India launch on 1st June 2016, this 360 degree video/photo contest will open opportunities for more users to experience the capability of this breakthrough technology and be part of India's first ever contest of this nature"
Here are the details of the 360 Degree Video/Photo Contest:
- Contestants have to create 360 degree video/photo about #LifeIn360.
- Contest period: 5th July 2016 (12 pm) till 4th Aug, 2016 (11:59 pm midnight)
- Participants need to upload their 360 degree videos or 360 degree photos on their Facebook timelines and share the link of this content HERE.
- Every post must use the hashtag #LifeIn360 in all their posts
- The best entries will be handpicked by the Gadget Guru Rajiv Makhni and Celebrity Photographer Atul Kasbekar.
- Result will be announced on 10th August 2016
- Winners will receive LG G5
