LG Electronics will show off a “Monster” digital virtual shoe made with non-fungible token (NFT) technology at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), a global tech event that will be held in Las Vegas in January. Care and Storage Showcase where high-end sneakers and limited-edition shoes can be kept at the right humidity and temperature.
Customers can collect more than 5,500 different styles of NFT shoes and manage and enjoy both their real and NFT shoes through the same app. LG and the Department of Game and Virtual Reality Design at Induk University in Seoul worked together to make the Monster Shoes. NFT is a piece of information that is kept on a blockchain network of linked virtual ledgers. A blockchain verifies that each NFT is a unique, non-fungible digital asset.
LG will have a “phygital” (physical and digital) experience area in Las Vegas. Customers will be able to use holograms and art toys along with augmented reality technology to look at and try on NFT shoes inside a Styler shoe case. Starting on January 25, you can enter a lottery to get a pair of NFT shoes. Through the cryptocurrency wallet, customers can store and trade the NFT shoes they get.
Physital is a term used in marketing to describe the combination of digital and real-world experiences. Physical experiences can be made more valuable by adding information to them, but digital experiences can be made more valuable by making them more human or physical.
“We will deliver a differentiated customer experience through Styler Shoecase and Shoecare, the next-generation premium shoe management solution and unique NFT shoes,” Baek Seung-tae, Head of LG’s Living Appliances Division, said in a statement on December 21. ” Will launch its premium shoe care solution in the first half of 2023 by applying regenerative plastics to the exterior.
The shoe care solution has clear panels, a turntable that can rotate 360 degrees, and a modular design that lets you stack up to four cases on top of each other. LG used its tried-and-true technology to improve shoe management and add a filter that soaks up moisture and gets rid of smells. A smart app lets users control and monitor the shoes from a distance.
