LFW SS14 John Rocha

LFW SS14 John Rocha On the second day of fashion week I was off to the John Rocha show, something that I'd been dying to see for years.  I have always been an admirer of Rocha's designs so seeing them in the flesh was very exciting.
LFW SS14 John Rocha Backstage at John Rocha pre show was buzzing everyone was quickly pottering about getting final touches ready.  Seeing the garments ready on the hangers filled me with sheer excitement with the beautiful colours and fabrics on display.
LFW SS14 John Rocha LFW SS14 John Rocha LFW SS14 John Rocha The show immediately kicked off how imagined, with feminine charm oozing along the runway.  A magical fairytale start with the voluminous skirts, big dresses, high necklines and romantic prints. Vibrant colours such as scarlett and fuschia featured in the floral articles, they stood out with them splashed across their sheer overlays.
LFW SS14 John Rocha LFW SS14 John Rocha LFW SS14 John Rocha LFW SS14 John Rocha LFW SS14 John Rocha The collection had a strong couture vibe about it but was somehow classically subtle.  It was very refreshing to see a range that flattered the female figure so well, with the majority of garments nipping in at the waist with voluminious skirt.  Going past the standout florals we moved on to striking sleek black dresses with tubing, ruffles and sheer material; each one individual with fascinating textural details and as stunning as the last.  
LFW SS14 John Rocha LFW SS14 John Rocha Slick back hair with crimping gave the feminine look a contemporary edge, thus making SS14 from John Rocha my favorite collection, a range that hits all levels by being modern and classic at the same time. Bravo.
