When SIBLING hits the runway it is common knowledge that the pieces will have an element of fun about them. After such an innovative assortment from the Men’s Collection, the bar had been raised for the women’s range. Everyone was eagerly awaiting the models to grace the catwalk to see what the three talented designers had concocted for AW14.

Creating a fashionable work of art is second nature to designers Sid Bryan, Cozette McCreery and Joe Bates, with their latest offerings certainly providing the perfect balance of innovation and charm.Wide brimmed floppy hats, floor length pieces, roll necks and cobwebbed knitwear all dominated the catwalk. A firm favorite being crocheted fringes and funky edged articles all created a mysterious witchcraft inspired ambiance. Even though this collection was enigmatic it implied a rebellious grunge theme, but splashed with beautiful colours in forest green, warming berry and dark denim, making each look a perfect balance between artistic and fashionable.
A lot of attention was drawn to model Phoebe Collings-James, who unfortunately got her heel caught in her white cobwebbed hemmed floor length dress; bravely she abandoned her shoes and continued to trot along the catwalk; however the final model in a very similar dress trooped on through with her heels intact. Despite the stray shoes in the middle of the catwalk the show pushed on to display more vibrant shades of seventies boho, giving confirmation that SIBLING had really got their combination of themes and knitted creations spot on.Do you think floppy hats are the way forward for AW14?Annie xoxo
