Letterpress...it's Not Just for Stationery Anymore...

By Midwesterngirl @MidwesternGirl5
I was working on my Project Life the other day and realized I really didn't have enough "month" cards to use for my weekly title cards.
Hmmm...
So I figured I would make some. I wanted them to be fun, but also cool. And unique, but fairly easy to create.

So I grabbed a bunch of my letterpress plates and got to work...and oh.my.gosh. I am in LOVE!

I used black ink only for these cards, but I'm thinking next time (because there WILL be a next time) I'm going to try some multi-color cards...what?!?! yep. I'm doin' it.

When I was done letterpress-ing my designs I added some embellishments to my cards to make them extra unique. I especially love the pin dots with the oval from the "Petite" Printing Plate Set...aren't those polkas the absolute coolest?

I'll tell ya...that "Scholastic" font is class-y! And, seriously, the black? I just love how these cards look so clean and bright and bold...

And, because I round the corners on all of my PL & Albums Made Easy pages, I can't live without my Corner Chomper...2 different cuts, one tool...love. And something I've just started using, but now have by my side every crafting moment - my Stylus. It really acts as my fingers when my actual fingers are too inked-up, misted-up, glued-up, yucked-up to work with things I don't want to get dirty...plus, it works great as a scorer, embosser and paper-placer...
I really love my new cards...I mean, they so rock. And I made a bunch so that I don't have to make new ones each week.
Really...the more I use my Letterpress, the more I love it. And the easier it gets. Now I just want to Letterpress everything...everything.

I will let you know that the Corner Chomper is something I owned loooong before I became a member of this team and I truly adore it. All opinions are my own, and I will never promote something I don't use and adore...why bother?
