Let’s Unite – UNP Convention

The United National Party’s 76th Convention was held yesterday (6) at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo under the theme “Ekwemu” (Let’s Unite). This Convention was held under the Chairmanship of the UNP Leader and President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

The United National Party held this year’s Convention under a President of the Party after 28 years.

The last time the UNP held an annual convention under a United National Party President was in 1993. The UNP Convention was organized by a committee headed by Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene in conjunction with the Convention, religious ceremonies were also held in all constituencies across the country.
