Stalking The Strand with camera and pen, David Tucker presents a few new angles on one of London's most famous thoroughfares…
Where the Wild Things Are
Wasn’t kidding when I said the Strand is Lion Country.
What’s this there in the tall grass? “Hello humans. Peek-a-boo. I can see you.”
Is he lying in wait? What’s he looking out for? Is he hunting? Hunting you?
Or maybe he’s hiding.
Looks a bit demented, doesn’t he? Half-crazed with fear? Something to do with the lady with the red eyes and the big, way-too-long, blood-red tongue and the scariest sideways glance in London? (Yesterday’s sighting – June 8.)
Fearful symmetry indeed. Down the Strand. Where the wild things are.
