Sunday 30th March 2014

Ascot Racecourse is providing the perfect family day out to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday 30th March with their Country Fair Raceday.

To celebrate this special day and the final Jumps meeting of the season, the raceday will feature an afternoon of highly competitive racing along with a range of countryside inspired activities to keep the whole family entertained.

Pony rides, climbing walls, planting activities, a petting farm and a rifle range are just some of the activities on offer for you to enjoy.

While the kids are keeping themselves amused with all the activities and dad is watching the racing on the track, mom can sit back and relax in the ‘Mothers’ Chill Zone’ with a complimentary cup of tea while she receives a mini hand or shoulder massage.

For mothers with smaller children, there will be a children’s craft area situated next to the ‘Mothers’ Chill Zone’ so that while mom is relaxing, she can keep an eye on the kids while they are busy getting creative with Mother’s Day themed crafts.

Country Fair Raceday features a highly competitive Jumps card, the highlight of which is The Iron Stand Veterans’ Handicap Steeple Chase which has a prize fund of £18,500. Another standout race is the £40,000 Novices’ Handicap Steeple Chase, which is run over 2 miles and 1 furlong.

In between races, there will also be countryside themed performances to keep everyone entertained, including a sheep dog & duck display, a stunning falconry display and the spectacular ‘Lamb National’.

Tickets can be purchased in advance, prices start from just £15 for Grandstand tickets (for groups) and £22 for Premier tickets (for groups). Tickets on the day will be £25 for Grandstand and £30 for Premier, so book in advance and take advantage of the great savings available to you. Accompanied children under 18 years of age gain free entry at all Ascot meetings.
