Friday’s Quotes for the Chicks
Home, where my music’s playing
Home, where my love lies waiting silently for me.”
Simon and Garfunkel – Homeward Bound
Look at what we have roosting on the rafters in our living room. Not sure I ever expected to see this in our house, but glad not only that my little chick son is home, but that he also brought a rook brother with him so they could both relax, sleep, and get some good food in during this all-too-short weekend.
We still have our roosters. It will be a week or two before we can arrange a transfer. As they are both young, they have only just started to crow. I’m certain that our neighbors will forgive us a bit more time.
Soccer, local business expo, apples, and plenty of home-cooking is in store for the weekend – looking forward to hanging around the nest with my flock.
And on a lyme-related note, as a direct result of my story and the picture of the Bartonella rash, I know of one person who is going to talk to their Doctor about a similar rash on their son’s back.
Kind of makes it all worthwhile.

As always, peaceful weekend everyone, health and happiness (and safety) to your flock.
